For most of August the kids were in Spain with Chris and Niam. I (Daddy) missed them terribly. I took them out to spain as Niam and Chris had gone out a week early. Spent a pleasant day on the beech and visiting the castle in Alacante.
We went climbing on the Aerial Extreme ropeways in MK. Lucy Sam and Charlie did the 'Blue' beginners circuit. Charlie whizzed round and loved it. He went on to the 'Red' intermediate circuit - about 30-40 foot in the air with a zip line and everything! Lucy and Sam didn't enjoy it so much. I did the Red circuit and was pleased I got round! Can't believe Charlie managed it, he's half my size!
At the end of July we went on a tour of the Children's BBC department. Daddy has been working at the BBC and so we also got to meet Pudsey Bear and a Darlek! A great day out, and would recommend it to anyone; www.bbc.co.uk/tours
Charlie won the CBBC 'Weakest Link' Quix and got a CBBC mug and pen.
Sam and Lucy did Soccer School for three days with Andy and the gang from Mid-Beds Soccer. They had a great time. They got trophies and certificates at the end of the third day.
Whilst they were there Charlie and I spent quite some time at the Woburn Lido. Invariably we'd all end up there in the afternoons - it was sooo hot!
On 22nd July Daddy and Sam went to the Arsenal's new stadium to see the first ever match there; the Dennis Bergkamp Testimonial. It was an awesome day and we had a great time.
The statium is Massive. 60,000 seater! Lots of old Arsenal players played in the match, including Sol Campbell, David Seaman, Patrick Viera and Ian Wright. Arsenal played Ajax - Dennis' first team and the one he was at before his 11 years at the Arsenal. Sam loved it all!
All aboard the Eurostar to Paris. From the 9th to 12th July we all went to Disneyland Paris. Below are some of our pictures. After three days there we went to Paris for a quick look round before we left Omi and Granddad in Paris for three more days to enjoy the sites and recouperate after three long days walking Disney and listening to "it's a small world"!

Lucy the tour guide. I don't know what she's pointing at, I think it was the Louvre, but at least we were having fun.
Mum and Dad stayed on in Paris from Thursday to Saturday. I'd like to claim I knew, but the 14th July is Bastille day! They had a great time watching the parade down the Champs Elise and the fireworks from under the Eiffel Tower. They both said the fireworks were the best they'd ever seen!. Anyway this is a picture of the Eiffel Tower that Mum took - Maybe she's finally getting the hang of photography! Nice picture Mum. xx
We ran a mile for Sports Relief round Furton lake in MK. We raised over £200 for the Sports Relief Charities. Sam won followed by Charlie then Lucy (with a stitch) and me!
