Pheasant Plucker!

Last week Dad (Stephen) hit a pheasant on the road to Leighton Buzzard. Killed it. Picked it up as it wasn't flattened and put it in the boot! Plucked it, gutted it and froze it to eat nearer Xmas.

Dad and Charlie were joined by Ollie, Alannah, Ben and Robert for a days paintballing in the woods near to Great Brickhill. A fantastic day where Dad got to shoot Charlie and Ollie!

 

Millie goes cycling!

Mummy bought a baby seat for her bike and today tried it out (with some help from Lucy and Sam) on a short ride through the village.

 

Swiss trip

Samantha and Stephen went to Switzerland for a long weekend. Originally just to go to JB's wedding in Zurich. However we also ended up Sailing on Lake Neuchatel with Ursi and Rolf and visiting Doris and Martin in Basel!

Back to School

September already and School's back! Lucy is Head Girl at Milton Keynes Prep. We're all VERY proud of her.

 

Brittany Holiday

In August we all went away for two weeks with Grandma and Grandad Weight to Brittany where we stayed in a wonderfull farm house.

 
 
 
 
 
 

Wedding presents

And after the wedding and the honeymoon - the presents! Many many thanks to everyone, especially those that donated via Oxfam - we raised over £450 to pay for books, allotments, seed and wells.

Honeymoon

We spent two days in Brighton staying at The Grand (which was; Grand!) then flew, with Millie, to Milan and stayed at The Grand Hotel Tremezzo on Lake Como (which was: Grand-er!). A beautiful place and very romantic.

Wedding day

What can be said in such a short space? A fantastic day, spent with wonderful people, with scrumptious food and a wild celidh.

We have sooo many pictures from so many friends - let alone the official ones - it's hard to choose a few to summerise the day!

 

Charlie wins Karate Gold

Charlie won a gold medal in the Kumite (Sparing) competiton at the Shokotan Karate championships in MK! He beat a Brown Belt to do it (Charlie's a Red belt, several levels below Brown!)

He also came forth in the Kata event (Structured sequence of Karate moves)

Ampthill Proms in the Park

On Saturday night we went to the first Ampthill Proms in the Park. Nearly three years in the making! Stephen was involved in the initial set-up and was so pleased to see it finally run and for it to be so succesfull with over 900 people there.

Millie, Daddy and Samantha also got our picture into the Bedford Times & Citizen!

Round The Island Race

On Saturday we went on Grandad's boat with his friend Malcolm and Malcolm's son James to sail round the Isle of Wight in the 2009 Round the Island race. We took 12 hours to do it but came an amazing 581st out of a field of over 1700 boats! A great day.



 

Lunch with Phil & Yvo

Stopped of in Epsom to have Lunch with Phil, Yvo and Jacob - now 13 months - on way to Thakeham for more wedding organising things. First Bans were read on Sunday. no dissenters!
