Halloween!

On Tuesday 31st I picked up the Kids from Niam's after school and we went trick or treating in Loughton (MK) with Alex and Ashleigh Lewis. Kids collected quite a store of treats and enjoyed running round in the dark enormously!

Thirty Ten!

ohmygod - I can't believe it, and I certainly don't feel it, but I'm now 30-10. My thirty tenth birthday was great. The kids made me breakfast in bed - toast, orange juice, hot chocolate (they know they're not allowed to use the kettle!) and a Mars bar - Sammy donated this!

We went swimming during the day - as is traditional.

Mike and Annalise arrived at Lunch time and we all went to The White Hart for a lovely lunch. Susanne arrived mid afternoon. Niam and Chris picked up the kids at 7 and then the party moved to The Queen's Head. Left the Queens after midnight and returned to mine with a possy to drink Bollinger and whisky (obviously not in the same glass!

Present from Mum, Dad and Susanne was awesome - a 60 minute lesson in a helicopter! Mike and Annalise bought me a remote controlled truck and Ashleigh bought a DAB 'Pure' Radio. Top presents :-)

Tate Slides Trip

We visited London to go to the Tate Modern. There was a 'Slides' exhibition in the turbine hall that sounded like fun. It was impressive - with slides spiralling out of the 5th floor gallery - but the queues were terrible! We went (as always) to say Hi to the Monet water lillies and then had a hot chocolate and crisps before heading home again.

Fun trip out and quite an adventure, shame about the slides.
