Lucy's 8!!

On Tuesday (29th) Lucy turned 8. She took a cake into school. After School there was a suprise as Omi and Grandad had come up. We all went to TGI Friday's for Dinner. on the way there we went on the big Ferris wheel that had been set up in the middle of MK (apparently it's the biggest portable ferris wheel in Europe and the second biggest in the UK at the moment!)

At TGI Friday's they made Lucy stand on a chair whilst about 6 members of the staff sang out 'Happy Birthday'!!

Lucy's Birthday Sleepover

On Saturday night Lucy took her friends to the Cinema. We went to Milton Keynes and saw 'A night in the Museum' - which actually turned out to be not so bad.

In the photo are (from left to right, back row then front row); Alice Garrett, Emma Dobson, Lucy Knights, Rebbecca Turner, Alice Yates, Imogen Goodlad, Kathryn Naysmith, Elenor Thomlin

After the Cinema Emma, Alice and Imogen came back for a sleep over. We stopped at MacDonalds for a bite to eat on the way. The girls camped in the Lounge and used the sofabed and two matresses to sleep on. It was midnight when they had a snack and only about half past when they went to sleep.

Arsenal 2-1 ManU!

On Sunday We went to see Arsenal against Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium. We were lucky enough to be invited by Cousin Claire to watch the match from their box. We met MUH and MAM as well as Aunty Annie, Uncle Peter, Cousin Louisa and Cousin Claire's Baby Téa

If You're interested it ended 2-1 with Tierry Henry scoring the winner in extra time in the goal just below us. Doesn't get much better (in football anyway!).

On our way home

As always we took a picture of the four of us outside 'The Devon House' before we traveled back, via 'The Clevedon House' to Ampthill and preparations for the new school year.

New Year's Night

We saw New Year in at Samford Courtney. Everyone was allowed to stay up past midnight. We saw the bell ringers in the church as they rang out the old year and then rang in the new. We all sang Auld Langsine in the square with about 100 people from the village.
